This is another winner from Josh Lanyon. This is the first book in a series. It is primarily a ghost story with a underlying budding romance. But I think this is going to be a slow burn romance, similar to the Adrien English series. Both men have demons to tackle and they are not really address (or in Kirk's case even revealed) in this book. Everything written by Josh Lanyon is great and such a perfect read that it is hard not to want to be part of the story. This is a great book about the difficulties one young man has to face after the death of his partner and the help he got from a worried neighbour when his problems became a little bit different and hard for him to deal with/5(). Josh Lanyon created a fascinating set of characters in "Winter Kill" as well as the small mountain community with a rash of murders, both old and new. The romance between Rob and Adam wasn't front and center and I liked how it didn't end up in a neatly wrapped package of HEA and I really liked "Winter Kill" which has been languishing in my huge "To Read" pile for well, far too long/5.
